Essensia Restaurant Opens

You consider green tea extract in toothpaste an antioxidant and snack on multigrain donuts.

Time for a new wellness shortcut: Essensia restaurant, opening Sunday in The Palms Hotel. It offers loads of “essensial” nutrients.

Bio-team: F&B director Maria Bond and executive chef Gerd Richter created a fresh, seasonal menu, blending Mediterranean and Floridian cuisine.

B-65 and B-120: the number of indoor and outdoor terrace seats, respectively.

Vitamin Sea: The ceviche tasting includes wild-caught salmon, shrimp, and scallops in lemon juice; spices; and poblanos.

Protein: Tupelo honey- and thyme-glazed duck breast served with lightly grilled peaches and sweet potato gratin.

Bronze: Coral-patterned draperies; tropical hardwood panels; and a cream, white, and orange palette compliment Italian mosaic walls.

Calcite: A crystal chandelier hangs in the adjacent lounge, where organic wines, liquors, and juices are served.

Recommended dosage: breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.
