Shrinky Dinks

Grain Surfboards

Contrary to popular belief, wood does not shrink in cold water. (Even when attached to the body.)

Don’t believe us, mister? Just give Grain Surfboards a whirl.

The environmentally friendly wave riders are crafted from local white cedar planks in Maine. While they may seem heavier than the typical fiberglass variety, the boards are incredibly buoyant and produce gnarly momentum (akaw!).

There are two ways to get a woody: Have the experts custom-build one to your liking (anything from a paipo to a longboard) or get down to brass tacks and construct it yourself following the detailed instructions in the Home Grown kit.

Grain Surfboards never show pressure dings or cracks, no matter how hard you ride them.

Which means they can endure a lifetime of swells.
