Reporter: This is Suzy Snippleton with a late break in the torture controversy. ProperForm, a personal training gym on South Beach, has begun tying women up and stretching them. I’m here with Brooke Murphy, their latest victim. Brooke, tell us what you endured.
Brooke: It’s a new resistance workout called Ki-Hara. A trainer places you on a board and straps you in to isolate a specific muscle. Then he starts mashing.
Reporter: Sounds painful.
Brooke: Actually, it’s a massage to loosen muscles. Next is the assisted stretching. You resist while the trainer contracts and lengthens muscles in your arms and legs.
Reporter: I see. Did the treatment permanently scar you?
Brooke: Um, I was a little sore the next day. Ki-Hara increases flexibility, tones your core, and strengthens muscles. It’s what Olympic swimmer Dara Torres does to stay in shape.
Reporter: You heard it here first. Water. Boards.
