The economic collapse is sad.
Unless you’re in the market for an antique armoire — then one man’s foreclosure is another man’s good fortune.
Stepping in to vet the debris, Midtown Consignment. Like a high-end brick-and-mortar Craigslist, the new Wynwood shop is reselling upscale furniture found at estates and designer showrooms or bought direct from people whose rugs have been pulled out from under them (literally).
Styles range from art deco to modern. The warehouse-esque showroom currently houses treasures like Foo bronze dogs, a midcentury walnut secretary, a huge mirror with a hand-carved frame, and a baroque marble coffee table. Also on hand: lighting and art. The ever-changing pieces beg to be reviewed, reused, and repurposed.
Selling out? Contact Midtown Consignment. If they approve your goods (what? This ain’t Goodwill), you’ll split profits 50-50.
An excellent dividend.
