Your apartment is stocked with Russian imports: Stoli, Imperial, Smirnoff.
Now to add Soviet style to your closet as well: Yana K’s first summer collection.
Russian-born designer Yana Khromova learned the art of the cloth from her seamstress mom. Now she’s putting it to use with her vintage-looking pieces (from flapper to ’50s). The collection mixes fabrics and eye-catching patterns — all with intricate details.
The bodice of the Barcelona dress has small vertical pleats and a boat neckline, the back dips into a vee, and the bottom has a slight bubble hem. The zipper-front cami is equally stylized: pink and purple halves separated by a gold zipper.
There’s also a high-waisted skirt in a colorful floral print, a blue-and-yellow ruffled dress, and a very modern romper.
Russian over to see them.
