So Fresh and So Green

Farm Fresh Miami Organic Produce Club

You’re a total veg head. You can devour a black sapote like it’s a bag of Cheetos. You even know what a black sapote is.

Us? We had to turn to Farm Fresh Miami, purveyors of high-quality, local, and organic produce, for info. (It’s fruit, btw.)

Owner Erika Rullman, fed up with the cost and condition at her local grocer, started the produce buying club. Fruits, veggies, and greens, plus choice roots and herbs, are available for pickup biweekly in Belle Meade or Miami Shores.

Each share consists of about 15 or 25 pounds ($30 or $50) of handpicked produce from farmers. Butter lettuce, dandelion greens, yellow squash, turnips, blood oranges, mangoes, raspberries, you name it — as long as it’s in season.

Also, recipe ideas and tropical, local goodies like canistel.

Because everyone loves a sweet surprise.

Available online at farmfreshmiami.com.
