Burger & Beer Joint Opens

The hustle and bustle of South Beach makes you so tense. Might we suggest a joint to help you relax?

The Burger & Beer Joint opens today on the corner opposite Casale Pizzeria.

The space is divided into three parts. The restaurant serves gourmet burgers like the Hotel California (beef, fried egg, avocado, salsa, cheddar) and Fly Like an Eagle (turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy). Or design your own: Choose a meat, size (half, three-quarters, or one pounder), and toppings. There’s also an old-school soda fountain for floats or boozy milk shakes and 99 different beers.

Down the hall is the sports bar: flat-screens, a free pool, and a full menu till 5 a.m. Upstairs, the shadowy lounge — open Thursday through Saturday — looks like a Victorian saloon (gilded mirrors, crystal chandeliers, baroque chaises).
