Waiting to Exhale

Core Fusion Classes at Exhale Spa

In our new local-produce-buying, big-business-hating, down-with-Wall-Street-chanting world, chain stores have a bad reputation.

But some big brands are healthy for mind and body.

Take, for instance, Exhale Spa. Already a favorite relaxation mecca in cities from New York to Los Angeles, it’s now in preopening at Epic Hotel.

While treatments won’t be available for a few months (when the impressive two-story space opens), it’s now offering its famous core fusion classes in a temporary studio.

A perennial DailyCandy favorite, the workout mixes Pilates, yoga, barre work (as in ballet), and stretching to kick your ass — or more accurately, your entire body. Seriously, prepare to be sore.

To ease the pain: DailyCandy readers get one week of free classes (for Miami first-timers through September 15).

After all, it’s go big or go home.

Exhale Spa, in Epic Hotel, 270 Biscayne Boulevard Way, 16th floor, Downtown (exhalespa.com). To R.S.V.P. (recommended), call 305-967-7324.
