Someone launches a line of water? We party. A celebrity has a layover at Miami International? We party.
So who would have thought St. Paddy’s Day — honoring the patron saint of whiskey shots — would be lackluster?
Here to see it done right, the new Brickell Irish Pub. The two-story restaurant-slash-bar looks the part. Dark wood-paneled walls, brown leather booths with paisley upholstery, and distressed mirrors give it an aged but cozy feel.
The booze slants Irish (more than 40 whiskeys, 30 imported beers, and creative shots). The food goes both ways: familiar fare like chicken wings, buffalo shrimp, and burgers alongside Guinness and short rib pie.
For gamers, there’s darts, foosball, pool, or football-watching (on 25 TVs). Also on tap: karaoke, live music, and poker nights.
Take a shot at the luck o’ the Irish.
