The Cherry on Top Wine Bar/Deli Opens

Good morning, party people, time to pop your cherry.

No, really.

Be the first to visit The Cherry on Top, a new gourmet deli-slash-wine bar opening tomorrow in Coconut Grove. The two-story space is from the folks behind Jake’s.

The glass storefront houses a European-style deli (a la New York’s Dean & Deluca). Shop chocolates, caviar, olive oil, charcuterie, and artisanal cheese — everything from French tomme d’Auvergne to Camembert from a small upstate farm. And, of course, there’s wine galore, including hard-to-find vintages (just ask the owners for that elusive Portuguese Moscatel).

Outside find small tables to sip draft beer. And upstairs, swill wine in a cozy space complete with skylight and tigerwood bar. The cold small plates (salad, meats and cheeses, salmon and tuna tartar) demand repeat business.

And the second time is always better.
