the insider's guide to your city
DailyCandy is a handpicked selection of all that's fun, fashionable, food related, and culturally stimulating in the city you’re fixated on (and all over the Web).
Hey, everybody. My name’s Precious Peanut McDoggle III. May I sniff your crotch?
[Can I have a treat?]
You may think it’s easy bein’ a dog, and all I need to be happy is a snack or two (apples, Pinkberry, bread, insect bits, etc.). Not true! Although I am famished.
[Can I have a treat?]
The truth is, when you leave, I go nuts. So might I suggest you buy a Pup to Go dog carrier? So I can come with you everywhere.
[Can I have a treat?]
Basically, it’s a durable, breathable backpack for your front with my head coming out the top and arm, leg, and tail holes on the sides. It’s machine washable, comfy for us both, and available in three sizes.
[Can I have a treat?]
Sure, people might mistake me for a big, furry human baby at first.
But wouldn’t that be a treat?

Looks like it's for short term use...not hours and hours.

This is so disturbing.... I really don't think doggies' spines are meant to take this kind of pressure, especially for hours. Dogs' anatomy does not resemble children's. They don't have the type of spinal column to sit upright like this for long periods of time. Please don't buy this for your dog.

To "tiffmoses" the reason I love mine over carrying my dog in a bag is that it's handsfree. I love that i can still carry other bags, my purse, and even get money out of the atm without setting my dog down. I love it for that reason. And to "geekinista", this PupToGo isn't meant to replace walking your dog or letting your dog run free in a dog park. It is for the times you want to take your dog to a crowded area, or a place where other people might not want your dog wrapping its leash around their legs when they are standing near you. I absolutely love my PupToGo, and my dog gets tons of exercise when I take her out to walk and to the dog park. When you're in a city around people and you want to take your dog with you, this just makes it sooo much easier and trouble free.

Unless your dog is handicapped, putting it in this contraption is animal abuse and the dog owner should be arrested. Dogs LIKE to move, walk and run. It is necessary for their health. And "Purses are for purchases; not puppies." (Geekinista-ism Number 2) If we stuck our purchases our purses instead of dogs and declined those awful plastic /paper bags the planet (which equals YOU) would be much better off. People who disrepect an animals' essence are stupid and arrogant. I am going to forward this product link directly to PETA. The Geekinista- Intelligent Fashion

Although I agree with some of the comments that it can be good for a small dog but I really struggle with actually wearing one of these. I hate to say it but I think they look ridiculous. I have a bag that I carry my dog in sometimes for when we are traveling (in the airport) or when I'm going to run several errands and don't want to just leave him crated at home BUT I have to say that I really don't think I would be caught dead wearing this contraption. Regardless, whatever you think makes your dog happy, I'm all for it!!

Finally! I have been looking for this for a while. I hate leaving my dog at home. Both of us have separation anxiety and this just makes both our lives better! Thank you Daily Candy and Pup To Go.

If you have ever tried to walk your dog on a leash around a crowd of people anywhere, ie. city, busy park, street festival, you will understand why this PupToGo is sooooo great. I can take my dog anywhere and not worry about her getting trampled or tripping someone with the leash. It's a fantasitc addition to any dog lover's arsenal of dog necessities.

I don't think I would use this on a regular basis, but it would be so happy to have it in an emergency -- like getting my dog and me safely out of our apartment building in a fire.
