Knit Your Fall Wardrobe from Scratch

Quince & Co. DIY Sweaters and Scarves

quince & co. diy knitwear!

We’re officially canning our way through winter and tie-dyeing everything in sight (even our nails). What’s the next step in our collective return to the garden? A visit to new online yarn and pattern shop Quince & Co.

Founded by two knitwear designers and the owner of a spinning mill, the easy-to-use site allows users to choose from four types of ecofriendly yarns (plump, chunky Puffin is ideal for cozy sweaters; firm, four-ply Lark shows off stitch patterns), available by the skein (you might call them coils).

With yarn decided, select a style: a boatneck Annabel pullover in frost, our favorite snap pea green High Street cap (pictured here), or the Kilkenny cowl in rich apricot, among others. Then download the instructions for a mere $5-$6.

Still worried you don’t know enough? Q&C provides the finished measurements, needle size, gauge (number of stitches per inch), and amount of yarn needed for each design so any knitwit can follow along.

Available online at quinceandco.com.
