The uprooted Lincold Road upscale diner reopens with the same brunch faves (granola, berries, and Greek yogurt; guava-filled French toast), gluten-free and vegetarian menu selections, and sweets galore (decadent layer cakes, jumbo cookies). Scope updates such as beach cottage decor, fresh juices, and a lounge and full bar.

Say cheerio to Lord Balfour South Beach’s new lobby bar and tea-sipping veranda.
The modern-day revival of the 1940’s hotel of the same name (after the former Prime Minister) adds 64 rooms South of Fifth and decor with dry, Brit humor (Balfour’s “Keep it short and sweet” quote on the bathroom wall, displaced bowler hats, and staff in kitschy regalia).
Come high noon settle into the veranda for one lump or two (tea will be served all day) — with a South Beach twist, thanks to mixologist Tommy Merolla (B Bar, Living Room). Skip the lemon and honey and opt for gin (Harry’s Oolong Collins and Palace Gardens) or rum (Canton Mojito) from the lobby bar.
