When we were kids, we ate spoonfuls of peanut butter between meals. And by “when we were kids,” we mean yesterday.

Here to make shoveling heaps of spread into your face socially acceptable is Thiago Silva, executive pastry chef at Catch. In today’s video, he creates his renowned frozen peanut butter pops.

The dessert is easy to make (it requires no heat, and Silva actually prefers to use Skippy) and great for adult and kid parties alike. Plus, it keeps for a month in the freezer (or leave it unfrozen and use as cake filler).

If you’re not the DIY type, he serves it every night at Catch alongside the peanut butter cup souffle. (While you’re there, the s’mores pizza is also the shiz.)

It’ll bring out your not-so inner child.

Parental responsibility No. 425: teaching your kids that Thanksgiving is more than a long weekend bookended by parades and leftover pumpkin pie.

How to make a mask bar

The majority of the adult American population requires an excuse (read: Halloween) to indulge its gemstone-and-feather-costume fantasies (drag queens, Katy Perry, and Big Bird excluded).

But every day is a dress-up day for the 6-and-under set. Which is why we think a mask bar ensures success at a Halloween fete — or on an average Thursday afternoon.

We suggest prepping felt mask shapes — owl, octopus, bunny, superhero — ahead of time. Then gather jewels, glitter, pipe cleaners, fabric scraps, jingle bells, and any other accoutrement that goes well with glue. Unload the supplies on a table and let little revelers have their way.

We bet the results will be too cute to keep undercover.

For us, life’s a game of do or dye. (Really, have you ever known us to resist a good pun?)

And now that we’ve met Audrey Louise Reynolds, the crafty Carolina-turned-Brooklyn girl who’s name-dropped by colorphiles far and wide, it’s mostly the latter.

In our latest video, Reynolds, who just started selling her hand-dyed shoes, dresses, and scarves at No. 6, shows you how to color your own threads using strawberries. If you’re feeling creative, you can use other fruits and veggies, too. (It’s easy! And it smells good.)

Fish Out of Water

Deep in the heart of the Bronx, during the wee hours of the morning, there exists a place so smelly, so slimy, only the heartiest of men dare walk its cavernous halls.

Naturally, we had to go there, too.

It’s the Fulton Fish Market at Hunts Point, where we recently accompanied Ani Papa, owner of Fort Greene’s new Mediterranean-inspired seafood resto Aqualis Grill.

Papa goes there two or three times a week to hand-select what’ll be served at Aqualis, from gigantic swordfish to tiny squid (calamari, yum) and downright perfect sea bass.

If you don’t like the sight of a fresh catch, this could make you a little squeamish.

Though we’re pretty sure you’ll be hooked.

Fortunately, Sheena Matheiken, the genius behind The Uniform Project, has seven copies of the cotton black dress she’s wearing every single day for a year — all in an effort to raise money for Indian school children living in slums.

We recently caught up with her to find out what it’s like slipping into the same thing every day, how she lands her amazing accessories, and if things ever get, um, smelly (turns out they don’t).

Matheiken left us feeling pretty inspired, and we hope you’ll feel the same after watching the video.

You have to admit, there was always something a little sexy about The Big Lebowski’s número uno bowler: his knack for sass, that weird ponytail thing, the way he, um, licked the ball.

On second thought, he was gross. But there’s nothing unattractive about Brooklyn Bowl, the amazing-beyond-amazing new bowling alley/Blue Ribbon resto/rock venue in Williamsburg.

We don’t wanna give the whole video away (this is one of our favorites so far), but we’re pretty sure this place is gonna be the new in-spot when it opens next week after months of preparation.
