A freestyle poem dedicated to Kelsey Quan — bespectacled cat lover, bicoastal aesthete, and the stylist behind a new line of necklaces we think Nicki Minaj would rock as a participant on a Hunter S. Thompson-hosted game show.
Kid, the. The SoCal expat has a serious sense of humor.
Every piece is stitched and pieced together by hand in her Greenpoint studio.
Learned early, mostly self-taught.
Story stated, let’s move on to the necklaces. A style per letter, you see.
Electric orange plastic cord, dalmatian ceramic rings, yellow glass beads — call it Candy Corn.
Yearn for carved stone Saturns in orbit and glass beads. Solar systematic rings, you space traveler.
Quartz, citrine rocks huddled and hung; ombre crocheted chain; neon green pop at the nape.
Unicorn: bilevel rocks, hand-painted snakeskin, blue embossed leather, and marigold hiking rope.
Adventures at camp: mesh tunnel, Southwest tiers of agate, black and white rope. Just bead it.
Nice and easy, stones stay together (right, Mick?). Chain interwoven with magenta yarn, pink shine.
