If your purse is a metaphor for your life, a sagging bottom can’t be good.
When you need a little structure, Camille Zarsky’s debut line of luxe leather clutches has plenty.
The Texas-born designer insists on clean silhouettes, uses ethically sourced skins, and keeps production local. (We suspect working at Ralph Lauren, as well as with stylist Christine de Lassus, has something to do with her attention to detail.)
For now, choose from two neon orange-lined styles: small and large portfolio cases in croc-embossed black, chocolate, or red leather; or envelope clutches with detachable chain straps. Rumor has it synthetic rubber python versions are in the works.
Pop into Zarsky’s trunk show to meet her in person and scoop limited-edition leather iterations (shiny stingray embossed, silver foil, and bubbly washed-bronze metallic).
Things are perking up.
Available by email order (info@camillezarsky.com). To see styles, go to camillezarsky.com. Trunk show, today and tomorrow, 10 a.m.-8 p.m., Henri Bendel, 712 Fifth Avenue, at 56th Street, second floor (212-247-1100), $395-$1,668.
