More than 45 chefs and farmers from around the country display their nose-to-tail finest with the likes of Black Angus beef, Colorado lamb, Pekin ducks, Mangalitsa pigs, and more.
Why: Squeamish carnivores beware — an 800-pound steer will be cooked and carved whole on the premises.
When: Sat., 5:30-9:30 p.m.

ESCAPE
Agritourism Weekend at Essex Inn
What:
Get down and dirty at an optional work session (weed brigade, harvest help), or hike, picnic, and tour the farm. Settle in for a family-style dinner.
Why: A nice departure from getting down and dirty in the subway.
