Yes, the trend of low-rider pants that begat the trend of that demure exhibition of slice of hip (okay, it’s a glamorized plumber’s smile) has spawned a new trend: underwear jewelry.

Says designer Pauline Aquilera, mastermind of the panty clip, “I just got tired of everyone’s thong always showing. I thought that if I had something to adorn my thong, I’d be proud.”

So was born her line, Havana Casino, a collection of armlets, waistlets, necklaces, hair accessories, and — our favorite — the aforementioned waistband dresser-upper.

And you thought your first-grade mitten clips were cool.
