When you’re home with the kids, you can’t help but wonder about life on the outside. Once you break free (hello, Saturday night), all you can think about is what the babysitter’s doing at home.
Before investing in a nanny cam, give Creative Sitters a try. The new local child care service is designed with your kids’ best interests in mind. All of the sitters have arts education backgrounds and arrive with an arsenal of crafty activities to get their charges playing (and learning).
Using the theory of multi-intelligence, they tailor each visit to the individual child (some kids are “picture smart,” some are “word smart,” and so on). Upon your return, they provide an activity report detailing exactly what happened while you were flitting about town.
Sign up for a monthly or annual membership, then just call and schedule a sitter when the need strikes. So you can spend date night considering more important things — like what to order for dinner.
Creative Sitters (347-436-8357 or creativesitters.org). A monthly membership is $35; annual membership is $225 (hourly rates vary by number of children).
