In a city with four million nail shops, it takes more than dead-skin-eating fish to catch our attention.
Perk up: Renegade London nail artist Sophie Harris-Greenslade is in town to give New Yorkers her famed hyperdetailed manicures. The catch is that you have only two chances to book her.
The first is tomorrow night. Curator Rita de Alencar Pinto is throwing an underground nail art bash on the Lower East Side. For 30 bones, Harris-Greenslade (along with fellow mani-acs Fleury Rose and Naomi Yasuda) will give your tips eyes, ghouls, and skulls.
The second is November 2 at Seagull salon. Mention DailyCandy to snag one of three reserved appointments and take in an inspirational picture or pattern. Or let Harris-Greenslade go nuts: Past hits include lace, Ankara and Navajo prints, florals, half-moons, and even a coral reef for musician M.I.A.
Which Harris-Greenslade will be all too soon.
Gettin’ Nail’d Costume Bash, tomorrow, 6-10 p.m. Address provided upon R.S.V.P. to email@example.com. Seagull, 240 West 10th Street, between Bleecker and Hudson Streets (212-989-1807 or seagullhair.com). To see styles, go to theillustratednail.tumblr.com.
