Though we don’t condone dressing like a Teletubby, we sincerely hope the trendiness of daytime pajamas expands like an elastic waistband.
Kick back with Piamita, a new loungewear line from NYC- and Santiago, Chile-based designers (and accomplished journalists) Karla Martinez and Cecilia de Sola.
If you’re thinking this is a stretch, you’re right: Each piece is made to give but tailored enough to be presentable in public.
Floor ’em in a muted lime crepe de chine maxi or a coffee bean-speckled minidress. Crisp, tuckable georgette shirts look smart printed with little cats or in white with green piping. Pair the latter with avocado drawstring tap shorts.
Freeball at home in a cotton boat tee or reverse charmeuse tank, but remember: The pursuit of coziness does not substantiate urban pantslessness. Vaguely ’80s twill harems or tux-striped palazzos solve the issue.
Comforting, isn’t it?
Available at Barneys New York, 660 Madison Avenue, at 61st Street (212-826-8900); online at shopbop.com, $65-$450.
