BYO is so last year’s acronym. These days, we’re all about PYO (as in “pick your own”). And no one PYOs better than Underwood Family Farms’s Somis location. It’s where serious fruitophiles go to make hand-on-vine contact.
Now through mid-July is blueberry season (made simple with complimentary containers and self-guided trail maps). Raspberries ripen later this month, and blackberries should arrive by July.
Open seven days a week, the farm is pretty much a straight shot down CA-118.
Which makes it berry convenient.
Underwood Family Farms, 5696 Los Angeles Avenue, at Somis Road, Somis (805-386-4660 or underwoodfamilyfarms.com). Cost is $4 per pound.
