Rebecca Minkoff’s newest collection made us question if we’d taken the B train or a DeLorean to get to Lincoln Center.

Inspired by Slim Aaron’s iconic photos of socialites lounging poolside in the ’60s and ’70s, Minkoff’s sun-faded floral prints, flare-leg pants, summer tweeds, and fringed-hem dresses were reminiscent of times when tropical wallpaper and fondue parties were the norm.

Modern tomboy shapes with feminine details floated past as husband and wife indie duo Tennis rocked with DJ Cassidy. Surveying the front row we spotted Olympians Sanya Richards-Ross and Ryan Lochte.

The latter looked as out of place in this blast from the past as Marty McFly himself.
