The Weekend Guide

hot bread kitchen's night market!

Hurricanes, elections, nor’easters. Start getting back to normal (and help fellow New Yorkers do the same).

EAT (and SUPPORT)
Hot Bread Kitchen’s Night Market
What: The do-gooder bakery hosts a carb-minded night of tastes from heavy hitters. Think Momofuku Milk Bar’s cake truffles, Beurre & Sel cookies, and Boulud Sud’s harissa-spiced beet tartare on lavash.
Why: Don’t just stick to the seasoned vets. The organization’s culinary incubator program has never-before-tasted samples.
When: Tonight, 7-10 p.m.
Where: La Marqueta, 1590 Park Ave., at E. 115th St. Tickets ($150) at nycharities.org.

SAVE
Alexander Wang Sample Sale

What: Up to 70 percent off ready-to-wear striped sweaters, sporty jackets, shorts, skirts, and more.
Why: Shoes and bags are up to 65 percent off. You know you want some.
When: Today, 8 a.m.-8 p.m.; Fri., 9 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sat., 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Where: 131 Greene St., b/t Houston & Prince Sts.

SHOP
Brooklyn Vintage Crawl

What: Navigate through Williamsburg’s racks of old-school gems (Seven Wonders, RePop, Antoinette, Sanford & Sven) with the help of a plotted map and nifty discounts.
Why: Between scouting sessions, replenish at one of the participating watering holes, including Manhattan Inn, Commodore, and The Richardson.
When: Sun., noon-8 p.m.
Where: Locations at vintagecrawl.com or via the Domino Street app.

GIFT
The Land of Nod

What: One of our favorite kids’ online shops launches a holiday pop-up filled with quirky-awesome decor, toys, and bedding for littles and cool parents.
Why: Spoil your favorite munchkins with book readings and puppet-making workshops in the coming month.
When: Fri.-Dec. 31. Mon.-Sat., 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; Sun., 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
Where: 136 Prince St., b/t W. Broadway & Wooster St. (917-880-0809).

LISTEN
Song from the Uproar Release Concert

What: Skip your usual alt-rock scene for a set by Missy Mazzoli celebrating her latest album, a modern take on chamber opera flecked with electric guitar.
Why: Instead of whining over a crappy ex, she croons about an early 20th-century Swiss adventurer and her travels in North Africa. How’s that for culture?
When: Sun. Doors, 7 p.m.; show, 8 p.m.
Where: Le Poisson Rouge, 158 Bleecker St., b/t Thompson & Sullivan Sts. (212-505-3474).
