Back in the day, you dialed 411 to get the scoop (right before perfecting your AOL IM profile and downloading a few Napster tracks).
The new number for guidance: Store One One 4. The LES house of all things bomb is now open, thanks to Lindsey Thornburg and Some Odd Rubies’s Ruby Canner and Summer Phoenix.
After a long history of collaborative workspaces, the buds finally decided to become official roommates. The result: an airy half shop/half workroom filled with oversize mirrors, branch and wrought-iron racks, SOR’s reworked vintage frocks, and Thornburg’s cloaks and flower child-esque ready-to-wear (velvet, cutout gowns).
Stop in for experimental pieces, true samples, and impossible-to-find-online dresses, as well as accessories crafted by friends of the group. We can’t get enough of Unearthen’s crystal cuffs, Thierry Lasry sunglasses, and Suzannah Wainhouse’s rough-hewn gold cross necklaces, though we wouldn’t judge if you flip for baubles by Veronica Moore and Maria Kiri.
You’ll be glad you called.
