Come Down with the Cidenzi Mori Collection

A case of the black and whites

cidenzi mori!

We felt chills the moment it hit, lost our appetite for color, and have a feverish desire to give our closets a sophisticated revamp.

The diagnosis: a serious case of mono(chrome).

The culprit: Cidenzi Mori, a new line from NYC-based designer Joel Cidenzi (Rag & Bone, Koi Suwannagate) with more black and white than a Michael Jackson impersonator competition.

Inspired by a gap-year journey with stops in the Nevada desert (Burning Man), his native Thailand, and Europe, Cidenzi designs for those on the move.

Get warm in a black and charcoal V-front sweatshirt or up your ebony/ivory dosage with a graphic-blocked blouse, origami tank, or asymmetrical wrap skirt in ecofriendly cupro. A long black gown slit up to you-know-where is sure to raise temperatures.

The sickest pieces are leather — simple shorts, an elastic-waist skirt with pockets, a dual personality shift with pleats in front and nothing in back. Several pieces are available now; others ship in about a month.

You’re sure to catch it by then.

Available at ilwyw.com, $220-$915. To see styles, go to cidenzimori.com.
