Maryam Nassir Zadeh Shoes Launch

Footwear worth the frostbite

maryam nassir zadeh!

You think people with bare toes in winter look like a-holes. Fair.

And though we appreciate your devotion to boots, get ready for cold feet: Maryam Nassir Zadeh has dropped her debut shoe collection.

For her first foray into design, MNZ stuck with the boho minimalist mix she’s mastered at her Lower East Side boutique (a frequent haunt of best-dressed citizens, models, and recreational DJs).

Putz around in bone, aqua, or rust suede smoking loafers or prance in their metallic leather (pink, pewter) counterparts. Mod flat-form slides with an ankle strap give a few inches and make us want to bust out the jorts. Pick from peach, mint and tan, or solid black (the stuff of Janeane Garofalo’s dreams).

Atop our want list: double-strapped stiletto sandals in color-blocked burgundy, tan, and white leather or solid reflective blue. All are imagined in NYC and made in Italy.

Snow ahead. You know you want them.

Available at Maryam Nassir Zadeh, 123 Norfolk Street, between Rivington and Delancey Streets (212-673-6405); at mnzstore.com, $135-$680.
