Lite+Cycle Sustainable Candles Are Ecofriendly Fire

An environmentally minded way to light up

After Earth Day, eco passions tend to flame out.

Reignite the spark with Lite+Cycle, a new line of sustainable and nontoxic candles.

Designer Kristi Head sources all-natural, unbleached cotton fiber wicks and non-GMO vegetable waxes that contain no synthetics or petroleum. Hand-poured and wrapped in biodegradable recycled paper, the candles are both a boon to Mother Gaia and your living room.

Choose from a trio of scents — serene lavender, earthy vetiver, citrus-fresh bergamot — derived from pure, steam-distilled essential oils (i.e., no pesticides or chemicals) that hail from France, Haiti, and Italy, respectively.

And be sure to check out Head’s jewelry line, with singular designs like a brass horseshoe nail necklace (proceeds of which go to an equine sanctuary) and a series of slim, stackable metal rings and bracelets.

They’re smokin’.

Available at NK Shop, 7221 Beverly Boulevard, at North Formosa Avenue, Mid-City (323-954-9300 or
nickeykehoe.com); (candles) at liteandcycle.com, $36-$450. To see jewelry styles, go to kristihead.com.
