Available through the nike.com Website, iDs are made-to-order kickers, and we’re not talking Enselow plaster molds or orthodic inserts. With the click of a mouse, you get to play god with Athena’s preferred models (running, cross-training, track and field, or Air rising), select a base-color scheme (i.e. graphite, neutral gray, denim, varsity red…), and add accent-color Swoooshes. You can also create a personal iD of up to eight letters or numbers to be stitched across the back of the shoe (nicknames, lucky numbers, cool symbols, etc.).

A word of caution: Expletives and other “suggestive” iDs are strongly discouraged. Nike reserves the right to cancel any iD order after it has been submitted.

Best of all, you can return them if, say, Mimi was spotted with your very original “Wassup!” written across the back of hers.
