Branching Out
Olives Restaurant
Just when you thought you couldn’t fit another thing into your turkey-stuffed mouth…
You can.
Today Olives, the perennial Boston favorite, hits New York in the W Hotel in Union Square. Chef Todd English has pulled out all the stops — most notably, he has conceded to the more, er, demanding New Yorker and nixed his infamous no reservations-accepted policy. So you won’t have to trade in your open-toed Jimmy Choos for clunky snow boots just yet… nor need you be seen — the horror! — waiting outside in line.
Expect a David Rockwell-designed room decorated in English’s “modern urban rustic” style (read: lots of wood, open kitchen, etc.) Curl up next to the open hearth, and get ready for homemade tortellini, duck confit, and black-truffle foie gras.
Then you can start thinking about your New Year’s exercise resolution.
