Necklaces and bracelets that get people talking

You ransacked Charm & Chain, toasted Erica Weiner’s second location, and cheered when you heard J.Crew was coming to Brooklyn.

But so did all your pals.

Buck the trends with an original piece from Less, a collection of handmade statement jewelry.

Designer and recent Parsons grad Alyssa Lesser got an early start, landing her first line at Oak while still in school. Her latest passion project incorporates a wide breadth of materials, ranging from mixed metals and semiprecious stones to more out-there components such as leather and bones. Despite the weighty ingredients, the collection never looks heavy, thanks to delicate notes like candy-colored clay flowers.

less jewelry collection!

Rock a moody mix of blue crystal and violet amethyst with the ominously named Strychnine necklace. Or make a jangly entrance in the chain metal Morticia bracelet with glowing raw citrine (pictured).

Each piece begs the question, “Where did you get that?”

Available at Sucre, 357 Bleecker Street, between West 10th and Charles Street (212-352-1640 or sucrenyc.com); at lessnyc.com, $95-$415.
