You?ve hit Wolford, Hedra Prue, and Rescue . You?re waxed , you?re polished, and you?ve rightfully worked up a ferocious appetite. You want a fabulous meal, and you want to dine alfresco.

Oh, do we have a treat for you.

Tonight, Nello Balan’s Soho Soho opens. It’s located in the old Amici Miei spot, but you won?t recognize it as the same species. Gone is the view of the street—did we ever really want to gaze upon Houston anyway? The tree-lined lush patio is all terra-cotta and greenery (and did we mention the plexiglass shield keeping gas fumes at bay?).

It’s so pretty, we?d even sit inside. Love the floor-to-ceiling where-does-inside-end-and-outside-begin doors. Oh, right, and the food? (Sorry, we were busy mauling the bread basket—we forgot.) Delish. The French menu includes lobster salad with lemon vinaigrette, pan-seared veal chop with mushroom gateau in a tarragon-vinegar sauce, and pan-seared California squab.

Just enough to keep us going for another round of people watching.
