Tenoverten Soho Opens
What: Unwind after a day of shopping with a bit of R&R at the salon’s third location (limestone slab mani tables, custom pedi banquettes, iPads at every station).
Why: Nail holiday party looks with festive digits featuring Essie, RGB, and select shades from Chanel and NARS.

Tie-Dye Gift-Making Workshops

What: BYOT (bring your own threads) or buy some at the workshop, then transform them into one-of-a-kind painterly gifts with help from textile artist/designer Shabd Simon-Alexander. (She taught Martha Stewart how to tie-dye.)
Why: Snacks and warm beverages keep the creative juices flowing.

It’s a Wrap Holiday Sale

What: Deck your halls with pop art coloring books, animal portraits, homemade planters, ceramics, jewelry, and map drawings (all under $200) from twenty-plus budding artists.
Why: Pose for Polaroid snapshots at a photo booth filled with festive props (Santa hats, garlands, ugly sweaters).

The Nugget Spot
What: Forget the stereotype — chef/owner Jason Hairston makes his Happy Meals to order with hand-cut (and hormone-free) nuggets (chicken, pork, and mozzarella) coated in Italian breadcrumbs, corn tortilla, Panko, pretzels, and cheese cracker crusts.
Why: Retro-casual decor (1930s wallpaper, high-top tables), plus dipping sauces in the form of Mumbo, wasabi mayo, nacho queso, and the house Shh sauce.
When: Sun.-Thurs., 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m.; Fri. & Sat., 11:30 a.m.-2 a.m.

Fish and Rose
What: Farmer/chef Chris Fischer (Beach Plum Restaurant, Babbo) and his crew of Diner in Brooklyn bring the best of Martha’s Vineyard’s meat and fish to Manhattan for a three-week pop-up.
Why: Scarf down four- or seven-course prix fixe menus ($50 and $75) or daily rotating a la carte options like West Tisbury wild oysters, lamb tartare with shiitake mushrooms, and Beetlebung Farm chuck steak with turnip remoulade.
When: Thru Dec. 30. Daily, 5:30-11 p.m.

St. Lucia Celebration
What: Join chef Marcus Samuelsson to celebrate Swedish Christmas with traditional glögg and small bites (shrimp rolls, brisket sandwiches, berbere-spiced popcorn). Bonus — a free ham carved by the host himself.
Why: Get your copy of The New York Times best-selling memoir Yes, Chef signed by the James Beard award winner.
When: Fri., 6-9 p.m.
