@SQC Opens (Have Fun Pronouncing It)

Scenario 1: The pressure’s on. You want to impress visiting friends. You want to show Mom and Dad a new neighborhood. You —ooh! — have a date.

Scenario 2: You are having one of those days. You’re a bitch on wheels. It is in everyone’s best interest that you dine solo.

Scenario 3: You live on the Upper West Side. And the culinary landscape is bleak.

Sunshine! @SQC opens today for breakfast and lunch (dinner starts next week, but you can make reservations now). The latest from Avenue chef Scott Campbell, the space mixes a cool retro vibe with a Danish-ski-lodge feel. (Wear snow-bunny boots.)

But the Danish stops there. @SQC’s killer breakfast menu lists almond croissants, apple-cinnamon pancake souffl?, and (we hear) a sinful hot chocolate. Brunch includes shrimp tempura and hamburger frites. And dinner? Tuna sashimi, crisp roast duck, and ravioli of Montrachet and beef.

Campbell is so confident about this venture he’s slapped his initials on it. Talk about putting your name on the line.
