Reinventing the Wheel

Eric Bonnin Jewelry

Ever feel like you’re spinning in circles?

That’s how it all started for Parisian ceramist-cum-jewelry designer Eric Bonnin.

Okay, maybe not exactly. But he did spend six years working at the wheel for potter-to-the-stars (did we really just say that?) Jonathan Adler. Now Bonnin’s making stunning sculptural pieces destined to enthrall bohemistas (bohemian fashionistas) and ceramics enthusiasts alike.

Made of vintage glass beads and geometric pendants, the mod necklaces (available in turquoise, red, green, orange, purple, and blue — to name a few), gussy up any get-up. Alternatively, we like the idea of hanging one on the wall (when it’s not around your neck). Each piece is indeed a dashing piece of art.

Why not? After all, that Robert Doisneau poster reeks of your college years.

Available at TG-170, 170 Ludlow Street, between Houston and Stanton Streets (212-995-8660); and Debbie Fisher, 233 Smith Street, between Butler and Douglass Streets, Brooklyn (718-625-6005).
