Grand Entrances

Looking for a fulfilling relationship?

Puhleez. Who isn’t?

And while that dog may be cute, we hate to break it to you: There are other ways to spend free time with someone who makes you feel like a better person.

Try this: Mentor a child between the ages of 9 and 17 at Grand Street Settlement.

Think you’re too scatterbrained? You’re not. Too busy? Wrong again. No matter how much time you do (or, more likely, don’t) have, there’s something for everyone: after-school or evening programs (tutoring with homework or playing sports). Or you can participate in activities one Saturday per month. Still too much? Try e-mail: A cyber-mentoring program launches this fall.

Of course, you still need to apply. After all, every good relationship requires effort.
