These Boots Were Made For ...

Score!

You found the perfect (we mean perfect) pair of knee-high boots for fall.

Bust!

The chick in the cubicle next to you has the exact same pair — and it’s pretty obvious that the two of you got suckered into the very same page 487 of the September issue of Vogue.

In other words, you magazine slut, you’ve been fashion twinkied.

Don’t dismay! (Pitying yourself is never a very InStyle thing to do.) Instead, pick yourself up by the bootstraps, and trot over to E.Vogel, “Custom Boots to Measure,” a tiny shop that’s been around since 1879. Owned by cousins Dean Vogel and Jack Lynch, descendants of founder Egidus Vogel, the store specializes in killer (albeit pricey) custom-made riding boots for both men and women. Designed to fit any calf or foot, styles come in an array of colors, linings and leathers. (And you thought you’d never find the perfect fit for that beautiful runner’s calf — see, you can!)

So saddle up, baby — and start from the feet up.

E.Vogel, 19 Howard Street, between Broadway and Lafayette Street (212-925-2460).
