Flat-Out Success

What is it about chicks with big boobs?

They seem to have all the fun. The head-turning bustiers. The snappy lingerie. The magazine covers. And, oh, the stares!

What ever happened to the idea that the best things come in small packages? Isn’t it high time that each and every adorable, bustless wonder felt as va-va-voom as her more chesty counterpart?

Damn straight it is. And so she will have it at 37=1, a jewel box of a lingerie shop. An ode to tiny tatas.

The store, owned by Korean-born Jean Yu (an A-cup herself), specializes in wispy made-to-measure underthings. What caught our eye were the chiffon triangle-cut bras with delicate cotton grosgrain trim. (You know, the kind that would send any C-cup screaming for back up.) But the shop also houses an exquisite collection of vintage stockings, as well as the prettiest, most luxurious (and yes, pricey) robes, panties, tap pants, and gowns.

Ds and up need not apply. But all you smaller chests out there … stand up and be proud. March your baby cans on over for a fitting.

37=1, 37 Crosby Street, between Grand and Broome Streets (212-226-0067). Open Wednesday through Sunday from 1 to 7 p.m.
