Wear a tracksuit to the gym?
A downright quaint notion.
This year’s fashion uniform can be seen anywhere but. Like on runways, bold-name frames, and at the end of three-digit price tags.
Corporate America might be the only remaining zone safe from warm-ups.
Until now. (Come on. Who’s surprised?)
Today Puma unveils its pin-striped tracksuit. Supply is limited: only 345 worldwide. Priced to move, as they say on the trading floor. Made from traditional wool-suit fabric, each comes with standard pant details (satin lining, pin tucks down the leg, button closure on the back pocket). The blousy zip-up jacket, however, may have a cute little watch pocket but is far from buttoned down.
Perfect for that special Mr. Big Shot who can’t decide if his look says “all business” or “all party.”
Or, better yet, “all fashion victim.”
Available at Puma, 521 Broadway, between Spring and Broome Streets
(212-334-7861).
