In third grade it was candy necklaces. By junior high you’d graduated to a hulking blue raspberry Ring Pop.
Unfortunately, with the passage of time, sucking on your jewelry has become less socially acceptable.
Laurice Curran’s designs, though not edible, should nevertheless give you something to feast on. Her work encomapasses a diverse collection of materials and styles: earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and rings made from dazzling gems, exotic shells, or chunky vintage glass and resin.
Each collection features vibrant color combos, ranging from subtle variations (like the blue chalcedony necklace) to brilliant contrasts (the Mandarin garnet and African ruby duo). The necklaces dripping with groups of multicolored gems on delicate gold or silver chains and decadent single-stone earrings are particularly stunning. There’s even a line of rings called Finger Candy, made from bouquets of candy-colored crystals and glass that look good enough to eat.
But, you know. Don’t.
