Kiss and Makeup

Carlo Geraci, Makeup Artist

It’s nasty, crusty, and ugly. You carry it with you everywhere. And you unwittingly have intimate contact with it every day.

Yikes. Do you even know what’s living in your makeup bag?

Time for an intervention. Makeup artist Carlo Geraci, a Trish McEvoy and Kevyn Aucoin alum who is now at Barneys, has dolled up countless boldface PYTs over the years. And he’ll go where no man should: into your collection of smudgy lipsticks, caked mascaras, and mysteriously unwearable gold dusts.

Schedule an appointment for him to edit the mess. (There’s no fee for the consult.) He’ll toss what’s not working, suggest what’s missing, and teach you how to apply it all. Geraci couldn’t be sweeter, and he isn’t employed by any one cosmetics line, so his recommendations are totally (and unusually) commission-free. (Too bad the new makeup you’ll want isn’t.)

Dire cases can book a home appointment.

We like to think of it as spring cleaning gone pretty.

Carlo Geraci, Barneys New York, Foundation Level, 660 Madison Avenue, at 61st Street (212-833-2782).
