If you’re tugged, twisted, and tied into knots on a regular basis, one of two things may be happening.
You are A) fulfilling your contortionist dreams (lovers rejoice!) or B) in denial about your unruly hair (lovers bemoan!).
If it’s the latter, it’s a darn shame. But there is something you can do about it. Hit the Alice Band Salon, where those suffering from tress distress go for a bit of TLC — and stay for the soothing cocktails.
Though they claim they do amazing massages and facials, the focus here is hair, hair, hair — all kinds and qualities. Calum (the owner) and Deion (the stylist with the cult following) may be self-professed textured-hair specialists, but we have yet to see a mane they can’t tame. (With all-natural and organic ingredients, to boot.)
And coming just in time for summer: an English-style rooftop garden, where you can soak up the sun while your color sets.
And imagine how great it will feel to finally let your hair down.
Alice Band Salon & Day Spa, 233 Fifth Avenue, at 27th Street (212-561-8706).
