Zagat’s NYC Nightlife Guide

“Wanna have a drink?” may be four of the easiest words to say, but “Where should we meet?” are probably four of the most annoying. Social-peeve addressed: Zagat’s New York City Nightlife survey comes out today.

Created by Ted Zagat (the 25-year-old who’s kicked up enough buzz to merit a profile in this week’s New York Observer), the guide addresses such handy issues as which places stick you into a crappy jacket if you’re without one, as well as which spots have “Cool Loos.” The guide is also an exhaustive study of the night-crawling habits of New Yorkers. A sampling: Bar most frequented by chicks: Blue Water Grill. (Who knew? And what ever are they thinking?) Lair at which you are most likely to get picked up: Fifty Seven Fifty Seven. And, drum-roll please, the number one bar in NYC: Angel’s Share.
