Time to donate your treasures to the Mallrat Teen Stepsister Fund and set your sights on the next big thing: custom Vans designed by local student (and avid doodler) Seth Brau. His canvas may be attached to a rubber sole, but his sneaker sketches have hit the ground running.

You pick the style (slip-on, lace-up, or Chukka boots) and suggest some colors. Brau sets to work scribbling your shoes with electric-hued jigsaws, madcap swirlz, and crazy zigzags. He seals them with a waterproofing solution (to keep your babies in mint condition for years to come) and delivers them within a few weeks.

Whereupon you and your one-of-a-kind sneaks will own the pavement.

The rest of those posers can just step aside.
