Once upon a time there was a girl who fell in love with Emilynoelle, a new clothing line from Los Angeles. As chance would have it, the collection became her calling card — especially a sweatshirt with gold-foiled feathers.

Everyone called her Lil Rad Riding Hoodie.

One day, while Rad was skipping down the street (in a voile skirt and cotton ruffled top), she noticed a few fashion hounds lurking around her.

“My, what big eyes you have!” Rad said.

“The better to see that vintage-inspired yet totally mod outfit you’re wearing,” the tallest wolf replied. “P.S. Love the sweats. Where they from?”

“Emilynoelle,” Rad replied. “I bought every piece.”

“My, what a big, bad belt you have!” leered another.

“Oh, this,” Rad beamed. “The peacock feather details look great with anything.”

The wolves circled a little closer. “My, that’s some bank account you must have!”

“Whatever,” she answered. “I live paycheck to paycheck. Nothing costs more than 200 bucks. Every piece is a real people-pleaser.”

“And,” Rad added, turning on her heel, “I look good enough to eat.”
