In Your Defense

Lazer Trip Wire

When you were younger it seemed easy to maintain your privacy. (Emphasis on “seemed.”)

Your diary had a heart-shaped lock. Your clubhouse proclaimed “No Boys Allowed.” Even your stanky gym shorts were guarded with a combination.

These days, such methods seem a titch low-tech.

Protect your unmentionables with the Lazer Trip Wire, an infrared security system. The gadget comes with three units that can be arranged to create an invisible “laser” barrier. If a trespasser breaks one of the beams, an alarm sounds, alerting everyone to the infraction.

Put one in your kitchen to protect your cookies from your munchie-addled roommate. Or safeguard your bedroom and the munchie-producing stash. (Drugs are bad. Don’t do them.) Of course, being fake laser beams, they probably won’t do much to keep serious intruders at bay.

Then again, that “Keep Out!!!!!” sign never stopped anyone, either.
