Bet they’re hidden in the back of some drawer along with those linebacker-worthy shoulder pads. (May they R.I.P. forever.)

Not so fast. Leggings are back from the dead. Hey now, you look like you’ve just seen a ghost. Don’t be scared: Iisli, purveyor of standout sweaters and jackets, has reinvented the footless hosiery so they’re luxurious and functional without looking ridiculous. (We love it when that happens.)

The result: a couture version of long johns made from fine Italian merino with pointelle stitching. They come in colors like black, chocolate, blue-black, heather gray, and teal, and have a snap closure on the cuff — so they don’t look too tight.

Scrunch them up or leave them unsnapped to show off boots. Slip them on under skirts, dresses, or long sweaters for a surprisingly cool look.

And don’t bother burying them six feet under.
