Trunkt Show

Trunkt Opens

You’ve heard the early bird catches the worm.

But at the moment, you don’t really want to think about worms. Because that reminds you of tequila. Which brings back hazy images from last night. Which explains you why you’re late to work again.

Don’t beat yourself up. Sometimes tardy is still on time. The folks behind Trunkt, Tribeca’s version of indie designer emporium EmergeNYC, snagged the last available spot in the converted Fischer Mills Building, which also houses new loft apartments.

The store opens today, and every nook is filled with a worldly array of apparel, jewelry, home goods, and stationery. Like Karin Eriksson porcelain bowls from Sweden and Aditee clutches from India, Nava bags from Italy and Happy Owl cuff links from California.

Timing, of course, is everything. So grab your credit card and prepare to leave a few bucks light.

Though that’ll open up a whole new can of worms.

Trunkt, 393 Greenwich Street, between Beach and North Moore Streets (212-625-2997 or trunkt.com).
