Shoe-In

The Shoe New York

If you were a shoe, what kind would you be? A pump that feels like a sneaker? A pair of lefties? Ones with diamonds on the soles?

Think hard as you head to The Shoe New York. The year-old Nolita gem is luring an increasing number of fanatics in to spend a minute (or, rather, years) in their shoes.

For its latest trick, the boutique is packing six-inch stilettos in bright blue, red, black, and dusty rose patent leather. They’re fierce yet strangely comfortable — just like the store’s alligator pumps in lime green and dark blue. Meanwhile, the stacked heels and flat beauties (in metallic gold snakeskin) make for great wardrobe staples.

Let your eyes wander to the springy pastel peep-toes with darling white trim. And keep in mind that heel height can be customized at no extra charge.

Because even though you’re not flat, you might just be a bit of a heel.
