These days, everyone’s an editor.

You’ve got your design bloggers, your lifestyle mavens, your plastic surgeons, your closet organizers. And they’re all looking to revise, rephrase, adjust, correct, modify, and cut and paste the way you live your life.

But the girls at Edit boutique, the brand new UES shop, just want to make some fashion sense for you.

Intimidated by the hyper-designed, two-story, 2,500-square-foot marble space with dramatic circular staircase? Aw, don’t be. Just throw yourself on one of the plush couches and take it all in.

They’ve blue-penciled the traditionally conservative look of many an uptown lady and have culled an impressive roster of designers: Derek Lam, Hanii Y, Charles Chang Lima, J Brand, Notify, 3.1 Phillip Lim; and jewelry from Irene Neuwirth and Jamie Joseph.

Try on at your leisure without the pressure to purchase. Though when you do, feel free to ask for a proofread on the outfit before they draft you a receipt.
